On 15 March, in the beautiful auditorium of UCL we held our very first CultLab CommunityTalk,
marking a milestone in building a vibrant, international creative network.
The event brought together over 160 registered attendees, showcasing a strong interest in cultural dialogue and support.
The evening featured inspiring stories from four exceptionalspeakers:

- Maria Semushkina, a cultural entrepreneur, shared herpersonal journey of adaptation in the UK, shedding light on the emotional and professional challenges faced by newcomers.
- Roma Liberov, an outstanding filmmaker and cultural curator, reflected on the importance of preserving Russian culture as a vitalpart of global heritage.
- Anna Radchenko, a renowned photographer and creative entrepreneur, offered practical guidance to newly arrived creativeprofessionals on how to promote their projects and find success in the UK’s dynamic creative landscape.
- Katya Sachkova, a researcher at Chatham House, spoke about her experience of overcoming the harmful myth of the “toxic Russians”.
